The historic Meierhof Trausdorf farmhouse is located near Eisenstadt, in the Burgenland Region of Austria. In the past this ageing complex of long, narrow buildings was used primarily for agricultural purposes. The neighbouring Esterházy Vineyard decided on a change of use to revitalise the facility.

System SG 6100 was installed with Wave curtains and functions as a room dividing system to create a flexible space. In doing this, the Esterházy Vineyard was able to create a stylish, generously sized ballroom. The colour scheme of the inner space was inspired by the natural materials discovered there.

The architects’ input resulted in an unobtrusive, harmonious conversion of the old building that has breathed new life into it while still respecting its character.
